NOC Infrastructure Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Provide operational assistance for a 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) environment that supports both Linux and Windows systems.

• Manage, maintain, and operate Linux and Windows systems that are crucial for production operations.

• Conduct data backup and recovery tasks.

• Monitor, manage, and maintain Linux and Windows servers and their applications.

• Develop and uphold environment-specific operational procedures and documentation.

• Create, oversee, and sustain user accounts and group memberships within Active Directory.

• Carry out daily system monitoring to ensure system integrity, availability, and the successful execution of scheduled jobs and backups.

• Define, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve support requests efficiently.

• Administer and monitor cloud-based infrastructure and managed services.

• Design, maintain, and utilize automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar programming languages.

• Assist in patch management for both Linux and Windows environments.

• Generate and maintain operational, configuration, and knowledge base documentation.

• Lead shift operations as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Linux and Windows system administration.

• Proven experience in supporting production infrastructure within a 24/7 operational setting.

• Strong expertise in Linux and Windows server administration.

• Experience with system and application monitoring in production settings.

• Familiarity with networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, IP networking, and troubleshooting network issues.

• Experience in administering Microsoft infrastructure technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows Security.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms and virtualization technologies like AWS, Azure, VMware, and Hyper-V.

• Proficiency in developing automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.

• Working knowledge of SQL queries and database troubleshooting.

• Experience with web server administration and configuration.

• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as Nagios, Datadog, Jira, Salesforce, or comparable platforms.

• Experience in managing incidents, documenting resolutions, and adhering to operational procedures.

• Flexibility to work day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts as part of a rotating schedule.
