NOC Infrastructure Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Provide operational assistance for a 24/7 NOC setting supporting both Linux and Windows systems.

• Operate, maintain, and oversee Linux and Windows systems that facilitate production activities.

• Conduct data backup and recovery operations.

• Monitor, manage, and maintain Linux and Windows servers along with their applications.

• Develop and uphold environment-specific operating procedures and documentation.

• Establish, manage, and maintain user accounts and group memberships within Active Directory.

• Perform daily system oversight to ensure system integrity, availability, and the successful completion of scheduled jobs and backups.

• Define, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve support requests.

• Administer and oversee cloud-based infrastructure and managed services.

• Create, maintain, and utilize automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or other similar technologies.

• Assist with patch management across Linux and Windows environments.

• Develop and maintain operational, configuration, and knowledge base documentation.

• Lead shift operations when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in Linux and Windows system administration.

• Proficiency in supporting production infrastructure in a 24/7 operational environment.

• Strong expertise in Linux and Windows server administration.

• Experience with system and application monitoring in production contexts.

• Practical knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, IP networking, and network troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with administering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows Security.

• Experience with AWS, Azure, VMware, and Hyper-V.

• Skilled in developing automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.

• Working knowledge of SQL queries and database troubleshooting.

• Experience with web server administration and configuration.

• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as Nagios, Datadog, Jira, Salesforce, or similar platforms.

• Experience in managing incidents, documenting resolutions, and adhering to operational procedures.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
