This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Take responsibility for the health of the managed client fleet, overseeing backups, RMM alerts, patches, and vulnerabilities.
β’ Address failed, missed, and warning backup jobs across Veeam servers, agents, and cloud copies.
β’ Remotely resolve issues related to storage, repository, network, licensing, and upgrades using NinjaOne/ScreenConnect.
β’ Conduct restore tests and generate audit-ready documentation.
β’ Implement the PTG 3-2-1 backup standard, including retention, encryption, and storage controls.
β’ Carry out the semi-annual backup audit and present the results.
β’ Maintain the accuracy of VSPC onboarding, offboarding, report recipients, and managed-list.
β’ Address NinjaOne condition alerts, such as AV/EDR, disk space, server, virtualization, service, and device-offline alerts.
β’ Optimize alert conditions and thresholds.
β’ Resolve failed Windows and third-party patches, pending reboots, and out-of-band updates.
β’ Address findings from vulnerability scanners and confirm fixes.
β’ Provide weekly reports on patch compliance and open vulnerability backlog.
β’ Manage Halo tickets from alert creation to resolution with detailed notes.
β’ Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
β’ Work with CMMC client systems under established access controls.
β’ Ensure that credentials and runbooks are kept up to date in Hudu.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in an MSP or IT operations role.
β’ Proficiency in Veeam B&R, including jobs, repositories, backup copies, agents, and SureBackup.
β’ Experience with day-to-day RMM alert remediation (NinjaOne preferred): AV/EDR health, disk space, services, and offline devices.
β’ Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows patching, including failed cumulative updates, servicing stack and component store repairs (DISM/SFC), WSUS/Windows Update logs, and third-party patching.
β’ Demonstrated ability to remediate vulnerabilities from scanner findings, with a history of verifying fixes.
β’ Knowledge of Windows Server, Hyper-V/VMware, storage solutions (NAS, iSCSI), and basic networking.
β’ Familiarity with object storage targets (Backblaze, Azure Blob, Cloud Connect), including immutability and quotas.
β’ Excellent writing skills for creating tickets and client reports.
β’ Disciplined approach to credential management.
β’ Ability to pass a background check for CMMC access.
β’ VMCE certification; experience with VSPC, Huntress or another EDR/ITDR platform, Veeam for M365 and Azure backup, CMMC/NIST 800-171, and PowerShell for remediation scripts are preferred but not required.
