This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver technical assistance via phone, remote access, and desk-side support for network connectivity and Building Automation Switches.
• Actively monitor GSA infrastructure utilizing SolarWinds and other monitoring tools.
• Provide Help Desk support, manage phone inquiries, oversee web content, and supervise the EM&EM ticketing queue.
• Record all activities in the ServiceNow ITSM system.
• Collaborate with onsite personnel to resolve network and IT-related issues.
• Assist in the basic configuration of network and server systems.
• Address complex technical issues related to control facility hardware and software.
• Work with telecommunications vendor support teams for escalation of outages or performance degradation.
• Monitor and respond to issues regarding hardware, software, and network functionality.
• Support regular testing and analysis of network facility components, including power, software, communication devices, modems, and terminals.
• Utilize software and hardware tools to identify and resolve intricate network performance issues.
• Troubleshoot network systems effectively.
• Assist in the testing, installation, and maintenance of LAN/MAN/WAN communication systems.
• Contribute to information systems operations, telecommunications support, data entry, data control, LAN/MAN/WAN management, operating systems programming, security policies, and operational assistance.
• Must possess or be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
• ITILv4 Foundation Training and certification are required.
• Availability for a Monday–Thursday shift from 6pm to 4am EST.
• Prior experience in Tier 1 or Tier 2 support for end users is necessary.
• 0–5 years of relevant experience along with a bachelor's degree.
• Proven experience as a remote worker showcasing time management and self-discipline, along with adaptation to cultural changes and an Agile mindset.
• Background in providing support for information networks and physical infrastructure, including hardware/software for routers, switches, servers, printers, scanners, and video teleconferencing suites.
• At least 1 year of experience using SolarWinds or a similar tool.
• Previous employment in a Network Operations Center (NOC) is preferred.
• Familiarity with industry-standard software products is essential.
• Experience in troubleshooting wireless networks and Wireless Access Points is required.
• Willingness to work various shifts, including holidays, in a 24/7/365 NOC environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff and clients.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows, ServiceNow, network monitoring systems/SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, and LAN/WAN control protocols.
• Capability to maintain a safe and secure home workspace if working remotely.
• Ability to appear on camera for meetings and safeguard proprietary company and client information.
• Capacity to view computer screens and remain seated for extended periods.
• Ability to manage luggage, laptops, and briefing materials weighing up to 25 pounds during occasional travel.
