This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the performance of networks and systems utilizing various monitoring tools and software.
• Detect and resolve complex network and system issues, escalating them as required.
• Set up and implement systems and network devices in collaboration with Backup Specialists and Toolset Orchestration Specialists.
• Keep precise documentation of network and system configurations and modifications.
• Work together with cross-functional teams to address issues and apply solutions.
• Monitor and act on alerts and notifications generated by network and system monitoring tools.
• Effectively communicate network and system issues to both internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and address after-hours incidents when necessary.
• Guide and train Analyst I staff on best practices for network and system monitoring.
• Ensure that tickets are accurately created and documented to reflect time spent.
• Manage personal workload efficiently while adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Follow a Friday-through-Monday schedule, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., on a four-day-per-week, ten-hours-per-day shift.
• Carry out additional duties as required.
• An Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in network and system monitoring or a related area.
• Familiarity with network and system monitoring tools.
• Experience with ConnectWise Ticketing, OpenDNS, Kaseya VSA, and PRTG is advantageous.
• Understanding of advanced networking concepts such as load balancing, VPN, and firewalls.
• Advanced knowledge of server and operating system concepts, including Windows and Linux.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Must fulfill Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements following employment.
• Subject to criminal and Department of Motor Vehicles background checks.
