This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee network and system performance utilizing a variety of monitoring tools and software.
• Detect and resolve intricate network and system issues, escalating when necessary.
• Set up and deploy systems and network devices in collaboration with Backup Specialists and Toolset Orchestration Specialists.
• Keep precise documentation of network and system configurations and modifications.
• Work together with cross-functional teams to address issues and implement solutions.
• Monitor and act upon alerts and notifications generated by network and system monitoring tools.
• Promptly and effectively communicate network and system issues to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours incidents as required.
• Mentor and train Analyst I staff on best practices for network and system monitoring.
• Create and accurately document tickets to account for time spent.
• Manage personal workload to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
• Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in network and system monitoring or a related field.
• Proficiency with network and system monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with ConnectWise Ticketing, OpenDNS, Kaseya VSA, and PRTG is advantageous.
• Understanding of advanced networking concepts such as load balancing, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Advanced knowledge of server and operating system concepts, including both Windows and Linux.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented setting.
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Openness to learning and adapting to new technologies and processes.
• Must fulfill Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements after employment.
• Subject to criminal and department of motor vehicles background investigations.
