This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the performance of networks and systems using various monitoring tools and software.
• Detect and resolve network and system problems, escalating them as required.
• Conduct basic configurations and deployments for systems and networks.
• Ensure accurate documentation of configurations and changes within networks and systems.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address issues and implement effective solutions.
• Monitor and react to alerts and notifications from networks and systems.
• Convey network and system issues to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Engage in an on-call rotation and address after-hours incidents as necessary.
• Create and appropriately annotate tickets to track time spent on tasks.
• Manage personal workload effectively to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
• Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
• An Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Familiarity with network and system monitoring tools.
• Experience with ConnectWise Ticketing, OpenDNS, Kaseya VSA, and PRTG is advantageous.
• Understanding of networking principles such as TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Basic knowledge of server and operating system principles, including Windows and Linux.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Must successfully pass criminal and Department of Motor Vehicles background checks.
• Must fulfill Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements after employment.
• Availability to work weekdays from approximately 6pm to 3am EST.
