This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Provide specialized technical training for New Product Introduction both in-house and at customer sites.
• Oversee classroom and laboratory activities, ensuring course objectives are met while adhering to safety protocols.
• Conduct training sessions during assigned off-shift hours and on weekends.
• Acquire and maintain technical knowledge of new and enhanced products.
• Share new information, complete necessary certifications, and certify others.
• Define certification requirements.
• Adhere to the Product Development Process for NPI products at Phase Gate 3 or earlier.
• Create and enhance documentation, assess instructor performance, and supervise course design approval.
• Offer technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance for system repairs and the functionality of training systems.
• Educate customers about Global Technical Training courses and products, supporting customer relationships and sales efforts.
• Evaluate customer issues to identify potential training opportunities and propose training solutions.
• Mentor and coach less experienced instructors.
• Anticipate, prevent, and address customer satisfaction concerns.
• Manage projects and lead project team members.
• Assist Early Learning System/Alpha Site engineering and maintain communication with the field.
• Support Global Product Support with documentation efforts.
• Develop procedures and Best Known Methods.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing on initial chamber builds and final testing of new products.
• Work with Instructional Designers to create technical materials.
• Observe technical activities, interview staff, review technical documents, and assess published materials.
• Engage with Business Units for product information and represent Global Technical Training at NPI meetings.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, education, or training, or equivalent military experience, along with 4 years of professional experience in semiconductor equipment.
• If a bachelor’s degree is not held, 6 years of professional semiconductor equipment experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience in installing, programming, maintaining, operating, troubleshooting, and repairing semiconductor machinery.
• Proficiency in following manuals, specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Experience with hand tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
• A minimum of 2 years' formal or informal experience in education, performance-based training, or delivering training/presentations to external customers is preferred.
• Preferred qualifications include nationally recognized certification in Instructional Design or 2 years of experience in curriculum development and/or instructional design.
• Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Resourceful individual capable of working and learning independently.
• Highly self-motivated and committed professional.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Skills in semiconductor equipment operations, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, alignments, calibrations, and system-level troubleshooting of analog/digital electronics.
• Willingness to travel up to 35% per year, including domestic and international travel.
• Knowledge of MS Windows applications and computer networking is advantageous.
• Experience in e-Learning, videography/photography, and advanced technologies (AR, VR, CGI) is highly desired.
