This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Connect with healthcare providers through face-to-face interactions, virtual meetings, and digital platforms.
• Offer expertise regarding products and their approved usage.
• Engage with customers directly using virtual or digital channels.
• Refer customers to colleagues, such as Customer Service Specialists, when necessary.
• Ensure customer inquiries are addressed and collect feedback on the quality of engagement.
• Organize and facilitate speaker programs.
• Coordinate local provider groups to share experiences and outcomes with regional or local leaders.
• Communicate opportunities, customer feedback, and local market insights to the Area Business Lead.
• Work collaboratively with Medical, Market Access, Patient Support, and ecosystem colleagues while adhering to appropriate guidelines.
• Compliantly adjust targeting and call point strategies.
• Leverage customer insights to shape local strategies and business objectives.
• Proactively reach out to HCPs regarding product access, on-label information, and established patient care protocols.
• Educate office personnel on payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Conduct office visits and sales presentations utilizing approved marketing materials and technical references.
• A minimum of one of the following: 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales; less experience will be considered for individuals who successfully complete the Otsuka ReadyNow program.
• At least 3 years of outside sales experience in business-to-business (B2B) settings or equivalent, particularly in regulated, clinical, or customer engagement roles.
• 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, RN, or similar) with proven responsibilities in patient-facing roles, medical education, or therapy-focused tasks.
• Proven ability to convey complex clinical information, influence stakeholders, and translate scientific data into clear, actionable value propositions.
• Strong commitment to ethical business practices and a solid understanding of regulatory standards.
• Capacity to execute business activities in accordance with Company policies and guidelines.
• Ability to assimilate and convey complex clinical and product information effectively.
• Must live within a 50-mile commuting distance from the primary city in the sales territory.
• Familiarity with territory and business conditions that affect sales outcomes.
• Expertise in educating office personnel on payer guidelines and reimbursement procedures.
• Proficiency in effectively utilizing promotional materials.
• Market and industry knowledge to address objections and influence prescribing behaviors.
• Capability to identify professional groups within the territory and establish networks with potential key opinion leaders.
• Skill in building relationships with office and practice personnel.
• Competence in delivering impactful office calls and sales presentations using approved marketing materials and technical references.
• Solid knowledge of own products and competitive landscape.
