This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
β’ Engage with healthcare providers utilizing in-person, virtual, and digital platforms.
β’ Offer specialized knowledge on products and their approved applications.
β’ Perform proactive outreach to healthcare providers regarding product accessibility, approved information, and established patient care protocols.
β’ Act as the main point of contact for healthcare provider clients.
β’ Guide clients to Customer Service Specialists and other team members as necessary.
β’ Ensure that customer inquiries are addressed and gather feedback on the quality of engagement.
β’ Facilitate speaker programs.
β’ Organize local provider groups to share experiences and outcomes with regional leaders.
β’ Communicate opportunities, feedback, and local market insights to the Area Business Lead.
β’ Collaborate with Medical, Market Access, and Patient Support teams under relevant guidelines.
β’ Work in compliance with the ecosystem team to refine targeting and call point strategies.
β’ Utilize customer-facing insights to shape local strategies and business objectives.
β’ Monitor progress and identify opportunities through competitive data and business reports, including sales figures and promotional budgets.
β’ Educate office personnel on payer guidelines and reimbursement processes to enhance pull-through.
β’ Conduct balanced office visits and sales presentations using approved materials and technical references to assist healthcare providers in improving patient outcomes.
β’ A minimum of one of the following: 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales; less experience may be considered for individuals who successfully complete the Otsuka ReadyNow program.
β’ 3+ years of business-to-business (B2B) or equivalent outside sales experience in regulated, clinical, or customer engagement settings.
β’ 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, RN, or similar) with proven patient-facing, medical education, or therapy-related responsibilities.
β’ Capability to convey complex clinical information, influence stakeholders, and interpret scientific data into clear, actionable value propositions.
β’ Strong dedication to ethical business practices and a solid understanding of regulatory standards.
β’ Ability to perform business activities in alignment with Company policies and guidelines.
β’ Proficient in assimilating and communicating complex clinical and product information.
β’ Must live within a commutable distance of 50 miles from the primary city in the sales area.
β’ Awareness of territory and business conditions impacting sales performance.
β’ Competence in educating office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
β’ Skillful in effectively utilizing promotional materials.
β’ Market and industry knowledge to address objections and influence prescribing behaviors.
β’ Ability to identify professional groups within the territory and network with potential key opinion leaders.
β’ Proficiency in building relationships with office/practice personnel and delivering accurate information.
β’ Ability to conduct successful office visits and sales presentations using approved marketing materials and technical references.
