This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee a regional sales team dedicated to promoting therapies for serious neurological, endocrine, and psychiatric conditions.
• Attract, develop, and retain a diverse, high-achieving team.
• Provide strategic guidance and performance coaching.
• Assist in team development and the onboarding process for new members.
• Propel the regional execution of sales strategies to achieve or surpass sales goals.
• Formulate targeted strategies for the psychiatric and neurological sectors.
• Recognize regional opportunities and eliminate obstacles to the team's success.
• Cultivate innovative sales techniques and best practices.
• Assess sales data and market trends to guide strategic choices.
• Hold the team accountable for the implementation of sales strategies and the achievement of objectives.
• Spend time in the field with each account specialist to observe and coach their performance.
• Offer regular performance feedback and development opportunities.
• Manage regional budgets and expenditures.
• Ensure adherence to Neurocrine policies, FDA regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain open lines of communication between field teams and headquarters.
• Build and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
• Engage with local professional and patient advocacy organizations.
• Collaborate with pharmacies and payers to enhance market access.
• Align efforts with marketing, training, sales operations, and other departments.
• Oversee key projects and work in partnership with commercial cross-functional teams.
• BS/BA degree AND over 8 years of sales experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical sector, including a minimum of 3 years in first-line sales management.
• OR a Master's degree preferred AND over 6 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• OR a PhD AND at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record of successfully building teams and achieving sales objectives.
• Understands the broader organizational impact across various departments and divisions.
• Strong sales orientation and business insight.
• Demonstrated sales success, including the ability to meet or exceed quotas, rankings, or recognition awards.
• Experience in launching products in complex, competitive settings.
• Capable of managing change effectively and making decisions with incomplete information.
• Maintains composure under pressure.
• Solid understanding of the healthcare regulatory landscape.
• Entrepreneurial mindset suitable for startup environments.
