This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Deliver field access support services and education to Healthcare Professionals to enhance patient access to company products and expedite treatment initiation.
• Engage with Specialty Pharmacies, Closed Door Pharmacies, and Patient-Physician Services to support marketed products across the U.S.
• Establish and maintain the pharmacy distribution network by performing vetting activities within a designated area, including communication regarding approvals, denials, or removals.
• Educate and support HCP entities on coverage issues, access support services, processes, forms, payer-specific coverage challenges, and patient financial assistance programs.
• Act as a subject matter expert on both regional and national payer coverage policies and procedures.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with field sales, network pharmacies, market access, commercial analytics, operations, and Payer Marketing.
• Build and maintain relationships with pharmacies, physicians, office staff, and other HCPs to address coverage challenges for ongoing prescriptions.
• Train and inform HCPs on payer-specific coverage policies, documentation needs, appeals processes, and patient financial assistance programs.
• Introduce technological solutions like CoverMyMeds for electronic Patient Access submissions and support prior authorizations, letters of medical necessity, appeals, step edits, and formulary exception requests.
• Resolve issues and conduct case resolution for coverage and patient access challenges.
• Identify and communicate payer-related issues with the National Account Directors team.
• Collaborate with local closed-door and long-term-care pharmacies, providing them with support services and education.
• Relay opportunities and challenges related to patient access issues to management.
• Present payer coverage insights during internal business reviews and national/regional sales meetings.
• Facilitate Patient Access workshops during POA meetings and assist with the training of new hires.
• Oversee pharmacy network operations, utilize end-user feedback for improvements, propose workflow strategies, and share best practices with trade leadership.

• Perform additional duties as required.
• BA/BS degree in a relevant field AND a minimum of 6 years of commercial experience in pharma/biotech, with at least 2 years in specialty pharmacy/market access.
• Experience with specialty products, preferably in CNS.
• Previous roles in various functions within pharma/biotech such as sales, management, marketing, and managed markets are desirable.
• A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred, accompanied by at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• PharmD or PhD with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of specialty pharmacies, managed care, pharmacy benefit managers, and government payers and their implications for product access.
• Strong working knowledge of patient support programs, including reimbursement support and financial assistance adherence initiatives.
• Solid grasp of the prescription adjudication process.
• Ability to articulate payer coverage criteria and prior authorization processes.
• Good awareness of current issues affecting the marketplace, pharmaceutical industry, and national healthcare system.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 60% of the time.
• Familiarity with best practices in the functional discipline and an understanding of related business disciplines.
• Capability to enhance tools and processes within the functional area.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of and lead multiple teams.
• Leadership skills, typically overseeing lower levels and/or indirect teams.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking abilities.
• Capacity to meet multiple deadlines across various projects/programs with precision and efficiency.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional setting while managing multiple tasks.
