This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver technical support for the design and implementation of Network Transformation and Network Operations.
• Evaluate and deploy appropriate technology solutions based on clients' business needs, security policies, and application specifications.
• Collaborate directly with the Senior Network Engineer.
• Engage in daily network, firewall, and operational support activities.
• Diagnose network issues and failures utilizing best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
• Analyze situations, develop solutions, and apply changes to modify or enhance network topologies.
• Provide technical assessments of operational challenges and resolutions during troubleshooting processes.
• Ensure that documentation and procedures are adhered to and updated during ongoing events.
• Communicate operational issues and resolutions to management.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and products, achieve certifications, and participate in relevant industry events as necessary.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate problem-solving, refine the system roadmap, and make essential decisions.
• Maintain clear communication and provide regular updates or reports to management.
• At least 5 years of experience in the deployment, configuration, and architectural design of networking technologies; 3 years must be in customer-facing roles.
• A minimum of CCNA or equivalent level of expertise.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation as required.
• B.S./B.A./M.S. degree or equivalent technical training.
• Fortinet NSE 6 and NSE 7 certifications.
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS platforms.
• Experience with Aruba ClearPass, Aruba switches, and wireless technologies.
• Proficiency with Cisco Firepower Services and Palo Alto security services.
• Understanding of encryption methodologies and SSL/TLS technologies along with best practices.
• Background working for or alongside local government entities, service providers, and/or enterprise clients.
• Experience in large data center or enterprise/campus designs, architecture, deployment, and configuration involving both physical and virtual appliances.
• Knowledge of applications that drive modern infrastructure design in both private and public cloud environments.
• Familiarity with STP, Nexus vPC, IPSEC/SSLVPN, VRF, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, and multi-homed setups.
• Proficient in data center network services including security, load balancing, DNS, and related services at both virtual and physical levels.
• Experience with products from Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, HP, Aruba, and CATO.
• Knowledge of wireless networking technologies such as Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager.
• Understanding of IPS/IDS and various NGFW features and capabilities.
• Capability to compose incident and problem record documentation.
• Strong analytical skills, decision-making abilities, and organizational capabilities.
