Network Planning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Deliver expert planning resources to assist Metro CE and Regional CE planning.

• Aid in the decommissioning of NGTT, capacity forecasting, power and rack planning, lifecycle management, network auditing, and migration initiatives.

• Execute Metro and Regional CE planning, release of engineering plans, and capacity management.

• Carry out capacity forecasting, utilization monitoring, and planning for augmentation.

• Organize power, rack space, and infrastructure preparedness.

• Evaluate EOL/EOS and strategize network refreshes.

• Coordinate network migrations, dependencies, and release activities.

• Plan for the decommissioning of Carrier Ethernet and legacy systems.

• Oversee audit, inventory validation, owner interlock, decommission readiness, and sign-off processes.

• Manage planning databases, trackers, and governance documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in providing planning release support for Metro and Regional CE network initiatives.

• Proficient in engineering order-inclusive scope-of-work detail planning.

• Knowledgeable in capacity forecasting, utilization reporting, augmentation planning, and power/rack infrastructure management.

• Familiar with audits, lifecycle management, and decommissioning support for legacy network platforms.

• Experienced in migration planning, link platform audits, data analysis, dependency planning, and stakeholder coordination with Platform Owners.

• Skilled in governance, reporting, maintenance of databases and trackers, material management support, and ad-hoc planning tasks.
