This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for intricate network incidents, major incidents, and problem investigations.

• Direct technical troubleshooting for enterprise wired, wireless, and WAN infrastructure.

• Take ownership of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Post Incident Reviews (PIRs), and technical recommendations following significant incidents.

• Execute complex project implementation, configuration, and migration activities across the network landscape.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to L2 Network Engineers, Technical Services, and Field Engineers.

• Create and maintain technical standards, operational procedures, automation, and best practice documentation.

• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and third-party suppliers to address complex infrastructure challenges.

• Recognize opportunities for continual service enhancement, network optimization, and operational efficiencies.

• Achieve all agreed objectives in alignment with departmental and business priorities.

• Perform additional duties that are consistent with the scope and level of the role.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in an ISP, MSP, or Enterprise Network Operations setting.

• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, and routing.

• Extensive experience with enterprise wireless technologies and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with OSPF and BGP routing protocols.

• Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls, VPNs, and network security.

• Experience with WAN technologies such as leased lines, MPLS, or comparable connectivity solutions.

• CCNA certification or equivalent experience.

• At least 3–5 years of experience in a Network Operations or Network Engineering role.

• Desirable: experience with MikroTik, Fortinet, Ruckus, Cambium, and TP-Link technologies.

• Desirable: experience with Zabbix and NetBox.

• Desirable: experience in designing, implementing, and supporting highly available network solutions.

• Desirable: experience in supporting Service Transition and large-scale customer deployment projects.

• Desirable: CCNP or other networking certifications.

• Desirable: SC clearance or the capability to obtain it.

• The selected candidate will be subject to the successful completion of a basic level DBS check.
