Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst – Day Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as a primary resource tasked with monitoring network activity.

• Address alerts and manage ticketing processes.

• Engage with customers, internal teams, and third-party entities.

• Oversee broadband service provider networks utilizing network monitoring systems.

• Create, update, and manage tickets that document troubleshooting procedures.

• Implement network modifications and enhancements.

• Conduct initial triage and basic troubleshooting of network issues.

• Escalate concerns to internal teams or vendors when required.

• Work rotating shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Monitor incidents until resolution and ensure appropriate ticket closure.

• Support customer notifications and communications regarding outages.

• Adhere to established procedures, runbooks, and escalation workflows.

• Assist in scheduled maintenance by monitoring performance and verifying system status.

• Maintain precise records of incidents and customer interactions.

• Participate in shift transitions to ensure awareness of ongoing tickets.

• Ensure timely investigation and communication of all alarms, incidents, and reported issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Fundamental understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).

• Experience or familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities and analytical thinking skills.

• Capability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Keen attention to detail and commitment to precise documentation.

• Ability to adhere to structured processes and escalation protocols.

• Customer-oriented mindset, demonstrating professionalism under pressure.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Willingness to work on a shift basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
