This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Oversee CMS VDC computing resources, data center networks, infrastructure bandwidth, application performance, servers, and additional infrastructure.
• Ensure system health awareness through the use of monitoring systems.
• Notify system owners, stakeholders, and management regarding degraded system statuses and Severity 1 incidents.
• Investigate system issues, troubleshoot, escalate, and document corrective measures.
• Deliver front-line service support to engineers and customers.
• Assist in Change Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, and Crisis Management activities.
• Facilitate communication through phone, email, instant messaging, and other channels.
• Generate and distribute scheduled reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues from other functional areas and share incident and event information.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with vendors.
• Adhere to a base schedule of 5AM–5PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with a rotating Thursday shift once a month.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Fewer than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic IT technical knowledge.
• Fundamental experience in Windows Server Administration.
• Basic understanding of Network/Infrastructure (Cisco).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong collaboration skills.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Candidates supporting CMS programs must have resided in the United States for at least three of the last five years.
• Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a public trust clearance.
