This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.
• Act as a Tier III escalation point for intricate network, wireless, WAN, voice, and telecommunications issues.
• Spearhead medium-to-large infrastructure implementations, technology upgrades, network modernization initiatives, and operational enhancement projects.
• Design, configure, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, wireless platforms, SD-WAN components, and associated network services.
• Provide support for enterprise WAN, LAN, wireless, voice, Genesys Cloud connectivity, and carrier transport services across an extensive branch and corporate network.
• Collaborate with Information Security and infrastructure teams on network segmentation, access control, secure connectivity, and defense-in-depth architecture.
• Assist with PCI segmentation initiatives and ensure compliance with financial services regulatory and security standards.
• Engage in incident response, root cause analysis, problem management, and corrective action planning for critical service interruptions.
• Adhere to enterprise change management processes and participate in scheduled maintenance activities.
• Offer technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to junior engineers and operational support teams.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, standards, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
• Liaise with telecom carriers, technology vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver network services.
• Assume responsibility for tasks and challenges encountered in the designated role.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in enterprise networking and/or telecommunications.
• CCNP Enterprise or equivalent certification is preferred.
• CCIE certification is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco ISE, Catalyst Center, and enterprise wireless platforms.
• Experience supporting network infrastructure in the financial services sector or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with Network Segmentation, PCI DSS, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, FFIEC guidance, GLBA, or similar regulatory/security frameworks.
• Experience in network automation utilizing Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Background in supporting large multi-site enterprise networks, including branch, corporate, data center, and contact center connectivity.
• Experience with voice, unified communications, telecom carrier management, or Genesys Cloud support.
• Effective communication skills in person, via phone, and through electronic channels.
• Ability to frequently use a computer, including typing and maintaining focus on a monitor.
• Capability to sit, walk, and/or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to bend and reach.
