This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary line of defense for all network-related incidents, offering 24/7 network support for both production and corporate networks.

• Diagnose Layer 1–3 issues and manage WAN, BGP, ISIS, LAN, FHRP, VLAN, STP, and associated services.

• Proactively monitor the health of production networks, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation strategies for swift service restoration.

• Provide customer-focused support through various communication channels.

• Develop and revise SOPs for network change management, issue analysis, and mitigation tactics.

• Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints, and other network hosts and services.

• Conduct network maintenance and upgrades during regular hours and occasionally during evenings or weekends.

• Troubleshoot network problems and outages.

• Engage in global production and corporate network infrastructure, including edge, backbone, datacenter, POP, and CDN infrastructure.

• Manage multiple vendor switches on servers for hardware and software challenges.

• Address traffic and inquiries from ISPs and partners.

• Assist with incidents such as input errors, CRC issues, and RMA matters.

• Collaborate directly with ISPs and vendors to resolve network challenges.

• Perform additional duties as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) from an accredited four-year institution along with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of routing, switching, server operating systems, Active Directory, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, email, virtual machines, and software applications.

• Capability to work independently with precision and meticulous attention to detail.

• Willingness to accommodate flexible shift schedules, including weekend coverage and morning or swing shifts.

• Must be able to work from the Eastern Time Zone starting at 3:00 AM or 4:00 AM Pacific Time, or from the Pacific or Mountain Time Zone until 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM Pacific Time.

• Proficient in troubleshooting Layer 1–3 network issues.

• Familiarity with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies.

• Knowledge of server hardware technologies as they relate to content delivery performance and capacity.

• CCNA certification or equivalent is required.

• Ability to cultivate effective internal and external working relationships.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment within established procedures and practices.

• Competence in performing office-related tasks, including prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

• Ability to navigate within an office environment.

• Proficient in using a computer.

• Strong communication skills are essential.

• Some roles may require occasional repetitive motions or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
