This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Assist in the management of Mission Produce’s global networks and server infrastructure for cloud environments, ERP systems, offices, data centers, and remote locations.
• Carry out routine administrative functions, which include patching as well as hardware upgrades or replacements.
• Oversee network services and address break/fix and support requests in the ticketing system.
• Work in collaboration with the IT Network Engineering Manager and global IT teams on additions, expansions, new solutions, and enhancements.
• Coordinate with vendor support and external contractors to resolve outstanding tickets.
• Assemble, install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software for networks, servers, workstations, and peripherals.
• Manage and oversee access-layer network devices across the global enterprise.
• Plan, install, configure, and maintain LAN switches and wireless networks.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance, updates, and patching to mitigate security concerns and vulnerabilities.
• Manage routers, switches, wireless LAN controllers, and wireless access points.
• Adhere to established standard operating procedures.
• Read, create, and modify technical procedures and diagrams.
• Assist the IT Network Engineering Manager with the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of network connectivity.
• An associate degree or an equivalent combination of work experience, education, and training.
• 3–5 years of experience in Network Administration managing routers, switches, and wireless networks.
• Practical experience in installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting Cisco data networks and wireless networks.
• Strong understanding of Cisco IOS, including routers, switches, and wireless LAN controllers.
• Proficient in configuring VLANs and knowledgeable about STP and RSTP.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting L1, L2, and L3 issues.
• Ability to configure network devices using the command-line interface (CLI).
• Familiarity with IP networking design and operations under RFC 1918, including subnetting, VLSM, and CIDR notation.
• Experience in troubleshooting network problems.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, LDAP, RADIUS, TACACS+, and AAA.
• Willingness to travel to remote sites as necessary.
• On-call availability and capacity to work outside normal business hours as required by business needs.
• Capability to work in manufacturing, food processing, and cold storage environments.
• Ability to lift and rack IT equipment such as routers and switches in data centers and networking IDFs.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Preferred certifications: CCNA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, MSCE, A+, Net+, Security+.
