This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, set up, implement, install, monitor, and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure in O&M plant environments.
• Maintain and enhance networking systems to ensure efficient, secure, and reliable network performance.
• Apply and enforce cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and security of traditional, cellular, and satellite networks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate network issues.
• Maintain and revise network documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
• Configure and implement routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols.
• Clearly communicate technical information to non-technical staff.
• Update IT ticketing and project management systems with comprehensive task and resolution notes.
• Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, ISPs, and stakeholders to develop network solutions.
• Stay informed about networking technologies, security practices, and industry trends.
• Engage in disaster recovery planning and implementation as necessary.
• Participate in vendor selection and evaluation as required.
• Provide support for remote network infrastructure across United States locations, including onsite facilities as needed.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues while safeguarding IT and OT environments through cybersecurity practices.
• Act as a technical advisor to O&M project teams and management.
• Uphold a commitment to site safety and safe work practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a network engineer.
• CCNA or CCNP certification is mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge of IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, OSI, and TCP/IP models.
• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Cradlepoint, Starlink, SolarWinds, and Wireshark.
• Practical understanding of LAN, firewalls, routers, switches, access points, cybersecurity, and site-safety practices.
• Strong familiarity with cellular and satellite devices.
• Excellent time management, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel as necessary for onsite network support, up to 50% of the time.
• Availability to work after hours, on weekends, and during holidays if required.
• CCIE and/or CISSP certifications are highly preferred.
• Successful candidates must undergo a pre-placement background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
