Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage a modern IPv6-based BGP fabric.

• Advance the network platform to support AI and high-performance computing environments.

• Integrate bare-metal Kubernetes clusters into the current BGP fabric.

• Plan, implement, and maintain firewall and load balancing solutions for data center infrastructure.

• Contribute to the construction of new data centers and integrate networking with existing platforms.

• Automate repetitive network processes and monitor infrastructure performance.

• Design, implement, and manage high-performance InfiniBand fabrics tailored for AI workloads.

• Analyze intricate network incidents to ensure stable and highly available operations 24/7.

• Influence future network architecture by contributing technical ideas and setting standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of practical experience in designing, implementing, and managing modern data center networks.

• Strong proficiency in BGP-based fabric architectures.

• Proven ability to work confidently with IPv6.

• Experience with firewall and load balancing solutions in production enterprise or data center settings.

• Structured, self-motivated working style with a sense of ownership over critical infrastructure.

• Excellent command of the English language, minimum B2 level.

• EU citizenship or a valid work permit for Germany.

• Willingness to take part in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

• Openness to occasional travel to data center locations or team meetings.

• Ideally located in Germany.

• Preferably experienced with NVIDIA Spectrum switches and Cumulus Linux.

• Ideally familiar with NVIDIA Quantum switches and InfiniBand environments.

• Knowledgeable in Software Defined Networking (SDN).

• Experience with Kubernetes, particularly with Cilium.

• A passion for modern AI, HPC, and cloud infrastructures.
