Network Contracting & Services Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Negotiate and oversee contracts with healthcare providers to establish and sustain strong networks.

• Ensure access to high-quality care and enhance cost efficiency through analysis of provider performance and negotiations on reimbursement rates.

• Assist in network expansion and provider recruitment by actively engaging potential providers.

• Help resolve provider-related issues and initiatives aimed at cost reduction.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of local network strategies.

• Provide providers with the necessary information and support to ensure top-notch member care.

• Execute contracting strategies that align with objectives for network adequacy, development, and cost management.

• Act as a subject matter expert for contracting specialists and/or analysts.

• Evaluate and analyze provider contracts to discover enhancement and optimization opportunities.

• Leverage provider financial data and insights on competitor strategies to guide negotiations.

• Mentor and foster the growth of junior team members.

• Uphold contracting policies, workflows, metrics, and service level agreements (SLAs).

• Collaborate with provider services for network servicing, education, and communication.

• Monitor networks for compliance and formulate corrective action plans as necessary.

• Adhere to relevant laws and regulations and carry out additional assigned responsibilities.

• Report directly to the Director of Network Contracting & Services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in healthcare client management, healthcare consulting, provider healthcare contracting, healthcare operations, or a related sector.

• More than 2 years of experience in supporting provider network strategy development and negotiating provider contracts.

• At least 1 year of experience conducting financial analyses on markets or product lines and collaborating cross-functionally to identify improvement opportunities.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in navigating and organizing extensive data sets, including claim files and provider rosters.

• Must reside in Arizona, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia.

• Willingness to travel locally for client meetings frequently.

• An Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred (bonus points for relevant experience).
