Network Automation Engineer – Automation, SSoT & AI Agents

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Automate network and security solutions for large enterprise clients

• Create Infrastructure-as-Code implementations using Ansible, Terraform, and contemporary DevOps practices

• Establish Single Sources of Truth utilizing NetBox or Nautobot and incorporate them into operational workflows

• Coordinate automation and AI agents using platforms such as n8n

• Integrate network, security, logging, and monitoring systems through APIs and event-driven processes

• Develop automation frameworks for intricate infrastructure settings

• Assess emerging technologies and effectively introduce innovations in client environments

• Automate network and security settings across platforms such as Cisco, Check Point, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and others

• Construct and enhance progressive automation frameworks

• Containerize solutions utilizing Docker and Kubernetes

• Create and automate CI/CD workflows

• Build and sustain Single Sources of Truth

• Integrate APIs, data repositories, and infrastructure platforms

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and continually enhance automation solutions

• Offer technical consulting on network automation, security, and contemporary infrastructure architectures

• Assume partial or complete project responsibility when desired

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in networking, security, automation, or DevOps

• Networking knowledge equivalent to at least CCNA level

• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines

• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, YAML, YANG/NETCONF/RESTCONF, and tools like Postman/Bruno

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code via Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies

• Strong critical thinking skills when engaging with AI systems and accountability for their outcomes

• Proficiency in German at a minimum of C1 level

• Proficiency in English at a minimum of B1/B2 level

• Cisco AIBIZ, AITECH, DCAI, or similar AI training is a plus

• Experience with n8n or comparable automation platforms is advantageous

• Familiarity with NetBox, Nautobot, or similar Single Source of Truth/Network Source of Truth platforms is beneficial

• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and SIEM solutions such as Splunk, Prometheus/Grafana, Graylog, or QRadar is a plus

• Understanding of NetBox Copilot and AI-enhanced infrastructure workflows is an advantage
