Network Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain software for intricate network management and monitoring operations.

• Implement and review configurations for network devices.

• Automate testing and validation processes.

• Oversee network performance and health through visualization and alert systems.

• Partner with various Engineering teams to incorporate network automation solutions into deployment workflows.

• Promote automation throughout software development, release, and operational processes.

• Investigate trends and projects in network automation to enhance efficiency and foster innovation.

• Provide support for Linux-based environments and containerized applications and services, including NMS, telemetry, Flowspec and routing controllers, syslog, TACACS, and NetFlow services.

• Assist in designing and maintaining large-scale, mission-critical systems.

• Create automation tools to boost infrastructure reliability and effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid background in networking (TCP/IP, IP routing protocols).

• Proficient in Unix-based systems administration.

• Familiar with network vendor devices (Arista, Cisco, Juniper, Nokia) and their automation interfaces.

• Experience in developing systems using Python.

• Skilled in Python for scripting, automation, and data manipulation.

• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF protocols.

• Practical experience with Docker.

• Knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana.

• Acquainted with Ansible.

• Familiar with Git and CI/CD tools.

• Experience with PostgreSQL and ClickHouse databases.

• Proficient in working with APIs, JSON, and YAML.

• Fluent in English.

• Familiarity with Python frameworks such as Django, DRF, or FastAPI is an advantage.

• Experience with React is a plus.

• Knowledge of Flowspec, Telemetry, and gNMI is advantageous.

• Programming experience with Go is a plus.
