Network Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Strategize, manage, and continuously enhance redundant network architectures encompassing office, data center, and WLAN settings.

• Manage Check Point firewalls, including ClusterXL, with a preference for Maestro experience.

• Administer Cisco and Juniper routing and switching systems, including configurations for high availability.

• Oversee and sustain WLAN infrastructure, incorporating FlexConnect.

• Operate Dell Connectrix SAN switches and site-to-site VPN connections.

• Conduct proactive troubleshooting at both second- and third-line support tiers.

• Engage in incident management activities.

• Independently address technical challenges and provide definitive resolutions.

• Oversee the entire network lifecycle from assessment to End-of-Life.

• Maintain organized documentation and deliver regular updates.

• Work independently within the central network team and lead solutions during service interruptions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed IT apprenticeship or obtained a university degree.

• Multiple years of professional experience in network administration within enterprise or critical infrastructure (KRITIS) settings.

• Strong expertise in routing and switching (Cisco, Juniper), WLAN, VPN, and firewall management.

• Familiarity with Check Point firewalls; certification is a plus.

• Comprehension of high-availability and security-sensitive networks.

• Proficient in managing the lifecycle of network infrastructures.

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, approximately one week per month.

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Polish, with a minimum B2 proficiency level.

• Good command of spoken and written German is a plus.

• Knowledge of Linux-based environments is advantageous.
