NetSuite ERP Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Strategize and organize IV&V engagements, encompassing approach, scope, success criteria, and quality and risk expectations.

• Evaluate vendor SOWs and proposals for scope, requirements, acceptance criteria, deliverables, assumptions, and gaps.

• Counsel clients on NetSuite architecture, implementation strategy, vendor selection, and program governance.

• Confirm and validate requirements, architecture, design, configuration, build, integration, testing, and go-live readiness.

• Assess data migration, integrations, and transitions between vendors and systems.

• Present objective, evidence-based insights and assist in resolving identified challenges.

• Spearhead full-lifecycle ERP implementations utilizing NetSuite, Certinia, or comparable platforms.

• Configure finance, accounting, billing, revenue recognition, procure-to-pay, and order-to-cash modules, workflows, roles, and permissions.

• Convert financial and business requirements into scalable ERP designs.

• Create custom solutions using SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, custom records, saved searches, and configuration tools.

• Develop and maintain integrations with CRM, banking, billing, payroll, and other third-party systems.

• Execute data migration, cleansing, mapping, and validation.

• Construct reports, dashboards, and financial analytics for FP&A and operational reporting.

• Assist with testing, deployment, cutover planning, post-go-live stabilization, and ERP performance enhancements.

• Implement GAAP and SOX requirements in system design.

• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT stakeholders.

• Offer technical leadership on ERP architecture, configuration standards, and best practices.

• Document designs, test outcomes, and findings for client leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 7 years of experience in ERP systems configuration, development, or implementation.

• Extensive finance and accounting domain knowledge, including GL, AP, AR, revenue recognition, and billing.

• Familiarity with internal controls such as GAAP and SOX.

• Practical NetSuite experience across financial and transactional modules, including configuration, workflows, scripting, and customization.

• Strong integration experience utilizing APIs, middleware, or iPaaS tools.

• Experience with data migration and financial data mapping.

• Familiarity with the complete implementation lifecycle: requirements, design, build, testing and UAT, cutover, and go-live.

• Solution architecture experience with the capability to translate business and finance requirements into technical solutions.

• Excellent communication skills with both technical and finance stakeholders.

• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments and multi-vendor programs.
