Senior Privacy Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Support the Head of Privacy and members of the privacy team in overseeing Alight’s worldwide privacy initiatives.

• Oversee assessments related to third-party vendor privacy risks.

• Carry out Records of Processing Activities.

• Manage the global privacy office email communications.

• Assist in addressing privacy inquiries and concerns.

• Investigate root causes and document responses in accordance with policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

• Aid in the implementation, monitoring, and assessment of a global privacy controls framework.

• Engage in the development, execution, and coordination of organizational records management practices and protocols.

• Contribute to Privacy Impact Assessments, reporting, policy and process development, and broader privacy program initiatives.

• Collaborate with various individuals and departments across the organization to foster strong working relationships and a partnership-oriented approach.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree along with 8+ years of pertinent professional experience, or a suitable combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of 3 years focused on privacy, data security, and/or compliance.

• IAPP certification or a commitment to obtain it within six months of employment.

• Familiarity with international, federal, and state privacy and data security laws and regulations, including CCPA, HIPAA, and GDPR.

• Must be a US citizen; proof is required upon hiring.

• Experience with privacy, data governance, and service management platforms, such as OneTrust, Ketch, Viso, and ServiceNow.

• Capacity to form relationships internally and externally on a global level.

• Skill in organizing and prioritizing tasks, collaborating with others, and focusing on critical details.

• Strong professional judgment, integrity, accountability, and dedication to quality.

• Must have work authorization in the employing country without any current or future visa sponsorship requirement.

• Successful completion of a background check in line with Alight’s employment policies.

• Capability to conduct virtual interviews via video; adherence to a camera-on culture.

• Occasional travel to a physical office location may be necessary.
