.NET Software Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete technical delivery for the ASP.NET Core/Razor Pages front end utilizing Telerik components, alongside a C#/MS SQL Server back end.

• Lead the discovery, characterization, testing, and migration of business rules from stored procedures and application code to a test-driven validation layer.

• Contribute to and drive the transition from a tightly-coupled monolithic architecture to a modern MVC framework, focusing on strengthening the API layer towards a comprehensive REST implementation.

• Design and implement robust integrations across 15–20 remote databases within the Azure App Configuration and Key Vault environment.

• Leverage Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Zartis' Zcora instruction framework to enhance AI-assisted delivery with thorough human review and validation.

• Serve as the main technical liaison for client stakeholders, managing communication, setting expectations, and ensuring delivery accountability.

• Promote quality through shift-left QA methodologies, including Playwright automation, SonarQube quality checks, and Three Amigos sessions to minimize regression cycles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive and up-to-date expertise in C#/.NET, including proficiency in Azure, ASP.NET Core/MVC, Razor Pages, Telerik UI components, and MS SQL Server.

• Demonstrated experience in migrating from legacy systems to modern architectures and transitioning from monolithic to MVC setups, particularly with tightly-coupled, full-stack codebases.

• Proven ability in stakeholder management and clear, proactive communication in senior or principal engineering roles.

• Practical knowledge of AI-enhanced engineering workflows, including tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot or similar technologies.

• Comfortable working in a regulated financial services or private equity environment.

• Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure, especially in App Configuration and Key Vault.

• Nice to have: familiarity with shift-left QA practices, including Playwright and SonarQube.

• Nice to have: experience with GitHub, particularly in relation to migrations from Azure DevOps.

• Nice to have: previous experience in private equity, fund administration, or broader financial services technology.
