Nessus Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Configure, operate, and maintain Nessus scanners along with their associated infrastructure.

• Schedule and execute both regular and on-demand security scans of client systems.

• Oversee user access, permissions, and role-based controls within Nessus.

• Diagnose and resolve scanning and agent-related issues.

• Collaborate with system administrators and system owners to address findings.

• Assist SME and ISSO teams in generating reports and compliance artifacts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity or system administration.

• At least 2 years of experience supporting Nessus.

• Strong knowledge of vulnerability scanning workflows and remediation procedures.

• Familiarity with Tenable tools and their integration techniques.

• Capability to document and report scan results effectively.

• Experience with Windows, Linux, network devices, and cloud environments.

• Practical experience with Nessus/Tenable vulnerability scanning tools.

• Experience in conducting both authenticated and unauthenticated scans.

• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

• Active Secret clearance is required.

• Must be eligible for employment in the United States.
