Data Administrator, Data Modeler – PowerDesigner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create, recommend, maintain, and revise conceptual, logical, and physical data models utilizing SAP PowerDesigner.

• Ensure data structures are optimized by removing redundancies and maintaining logical consistency within the database.

• Oversee and guarantee the quality of metadata, aligning with the corporate data management and governance framework.

• Design and establish architecture for data services across relational, analytical, and NoSQL environments, aiding BI and Big Data applications.

• Collaborate with Database Administrators on physical implementation, table partitioning, and database performance enhancement, particularly with Very Large Databases (VLDBs).

• Define integration methods, including ETL processes, database connections, and services.

• Create SQL scripts for data validation and reporting purposes.

• Process and manage various data sources including VSAM, CSV, TXT, JSON, XML, relational, and NoSQL.

• Offer consulting, support, and mentorship to business teams, advocating for BI best practices and ongoing process enhancement.

• Engage in large-scale projects and intricate corporate settings at Certsys, a technology firm focused on IT solutions and services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical—both relational and multidimensional).

• Hands-on expertise with SAP PowerDesigner.

• Strong skills in SQL, DDL, DML, DCL, Transaction SQL, and SQL*Plus.

• Knowledge and experience in administering and modeling relational and NoSQL database management systems, including Oracle, DB2, Sybase, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, InfluxDB, and Apache HAWQ/Impala.

• Experience with the Informatica suite: PowerCenter, PowerExchange, Data Quality, and Metadata Management.

• Understanding of integration architectures, including ETL specifications, database connections, and DBMS-based services.

• Familiarity with VLDBs, performance analysis methods, and table partitioning strategies.

• Proficient in agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, XP, and the Agile Manifesto.

• Awareness of statistics, predictive models, and probabilistic analysis.
