
National Sales Support – Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Assist the National Sales Leadership with special projects, initiative management, and logistics for approximately 50% of your time.
• Act as an account manager for designated National Sales Accounts, dedicating around 50% of your working hours to this role.
• Report to the Account Management leader within the National Sales organization, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the SVP and VP of National Sales.
• Oversee special projects and national sales initiatives.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings by managing scheduling, documentation, and follow-up actions.
• Organize, implement, and coordinate special events, logistics, and communications.
• Generate sales reports as assigned.
• Monitor sales exceptions and ensure necessary follow-up actions are completed.
• Administer customer appreciation programs, including holiday recognition.
• Assist in the cross-functional distribution of restricted sales address lists.
• Act as the first point of escalation for the Account Management team concerning assigned accounts.
• Review current contracted services, ensuring customers receive copies of contracts, circuit IDs, and key personnel contact information, including NOC, billing, and care.
• Manage upcoming contract expirations and track/report renewal success rates.
• Serve as the primary contact and escalation point for post-sale issues, overseeing customer communication until resolution.
• Collaborate with sales representatives on installation updates and general follow-up with customers.
• Provide periodic leadership updates regarding customer experience best practices and initiatives.
• Travel occasionally within the designated footprint for customer meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Education: 2-4 year college degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of telecommunications-related experience in a similar role supporting Carrier, Cellular, Media, or similar customers.
• Familiarity with reviewing master service agreements, service level agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively at all levels within an organization.
• Experience in account planning, including account profiling, positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long-range account management strategies.
• Professional business acumen in reporting and database management.
• Operational knowledge of telecommunications ordering, provisioning, and billing processes.
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to maintain customer retention.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft software, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, at a minimum intermediate level.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills; ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• High sense of urgency; detail-oriented and analytical.
• Ability to make confident decisions based on the analysis of available information and its impact on business operations.
• Capability to take ownership of issues and drive towards resolution, anticipating future needs or events, and identifying alternative or contingency plans.
