This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Engage with national oncology healthcare access decision makers through credible, non-promotional, outcomes-focused scientific dialogue.
• Identify and connect with key national oncology healthcare decision makers, acting as the primary medical liaison between AbbVie and these stakeholders.
• Cultivate relationships to understand customer needs and facilitate the generation of real-world evidence in alignment with medical planning.
• Advance field scientific strategies and serve as a role model for field medical peers.
• Act as the medical lead within key account management teams for assigned accounts.
• Direct oncology therapeutic-area and healthcare-landscape strategic planning and issue resolution.
• Provide tailored communication of scientific, health outcomes, and health policy information.
• Document and share observations that contribute to Scientific Intelligence.
• Recognize emerging scientific, health economic, and health policy trends and integrate insights into strategy and objectives.
• Serve as the primary contact for large-scale real-world evidence opportunities with national healthcare decision makers.
• Anticipate and address scientific, outcomes research, and health policy needs at the population level.
• Facilitate scientific exchanges between AbbVie medical leadership, Medical Affairs, Health Impact, therapeutic-area medical directors, HEOR, and senior priority-account leaders.
• Maintain and enhance expertise in clinical, scientific, and healthcare landscapes.
• Participate in therapeutic advisory activities related to marketed and investigational products throughout the product lifecycle.
• Train, coach, and mentor Medical Outcomes Specialists (MOSLs).
• Provide guidance and strategic direction to MOSLs who support key access organizations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and the In-Field Team to ensure coordinated national execution.
• Link scientific engagement to measurable improvements in decision-making and product access quality.
• An advanced scientific degree is required: Pharm.D., M.D., D.O., Ph.D., or equivalent.
• Significant experience in Managed Care, healthcare consulting, oncology pathways, the pharmaceutical industry, medical affairs, or a related field.
• Relevant residency or fellowship may be accepted in place of some work experience.
• Experience in account management is preferred.
• Advanced scientific and business acumen is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape.

• Advanced innovative problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication abilities.
• Self-motivated and solution-oriented.
• Strong networking and collaboration skills across multiple organizational levels.
• In-depth disease-state and standard-of-care knowledge.
• Understanding of patient and caregiver experiences, access dynamics, and care delivery realities.
• Advanced product knowledge and experience with clinical, outcomes, and real-world data.
• Ability to clearly articulate pipeline and Pre-Approval Information to healthcare decision makers.
• Capability to assess clinical and pharmacoeconomic therapeutic landscape positions.
• Awareness of regulatory, policy, and access landscape trends.
• Ability to translate scientific intelligence into medical planning, evidence priorities, and access strategy.
