This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +5 more states.
• Act as the primary field representative for education, support, and problem resolution concerning patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of your time on-site with corporate clients, healthcare providers, and office personnel.
• Evaluate educational requirements and promote collaboration among essential stakeholders.
• Formulate strategic plans based on corporate access and reimbursement processes, objectives, and challenges.
• Provide education to stakeholders regarding reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Work in conjunction with key account managers and field reimbursement managers across the nation.
• Act as the expert on access, fulfillment, and reimbursement for assigned accounts.
• Lead compliant discussions on access and fulfillment.
• Utilize data and account management skills to proactively tackle access barriers.
• Address significant access and affordability challenges for patients.
• Collaborate with managed care colleagues concerning current and future policy modifications.
• Deliver field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Establish trust-based relationships with clients in assigned accounts.
• Oversee account engagement logistics, routing, and business planning.
• Keep abreast of market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Expand knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Collaborate with internal J&J departments, including marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, Commercial, and other payer types.
• Conduct business in accordance with ethical, legal, and compliance standards while completing required training.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in healthcare or business/public administration.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is necessary.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within a provider office setting.
• Proficiency in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Relevant experience in reimbursement or managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Capability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Problem-solving skills to navigate complex access challenges.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, along with efficient follow-through.
• Experience with patient support HUB services.
• A valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Comprehensive knowledge of medication access channels, including pharmacy and medical benefits, buy & bill, and assignment of benefits.
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking to interpret complex quantitative and qualitative data.
• Outstanding social, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of product coverage, access, market conditions, and stakeholder practices.
• Preferred: Experience in neuroscience disease states.
• Preferred: Advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting pharmaceutical and biotechnology reimbursement.
• Preferred: Technical knowledge of payer policy, coding, coverage, and payment.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
