
National Advanced Clinical Education Specialist – LAAO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Spearhead the creation and implementation of national clinical education strategies for Abbott's LAA franchise.
• Design, execute, and refine educational pathways that promote successful Amulet procedures.
• Establish competency frameworks for Clinical Specialists and Territory Managers supporting LAA accounts.
• Create standardized training materials, procedural guides, best practices, and advanced educational content.
• Collaborate with Professional Education and Commercial Development teams to align field education with business goals.
• Lead clinical development initiatives for the LAA field organization.
• Develop and manage onboarding and advanced development programs.
• Conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops, and certification programs.
• Mentor clinical leaders, high-potential specialists, and regional trainers.
• Evaluate field clinical proficiency and identify areas for performance improvement.
• Establish best practices for patient selection, procedural workflows, imaging integration, implantation techniques, and post-procedure care.
• Facilitate procedural excellence through strategic engagement and consultation with accounts.
• Offer expert guidance during complex cases and high-profile account launches.
• Work closely with commercial, clinical, marketing, research, medical affairs, training, and commercial excellence teams.
• Contribute to readiness for product launches, educational planning, strategic initiatives, executive presentations, and business reviews.
• Develop and analyze performance metrics, dashboards, and educational KPIs.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• At least 8+ years of experience in cardiovascular medical devices, structural heart, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, or related healthcare sectors.
• Proven expertise in LAAO therapies, structural heart procedures, or catheter-based cardiovascular interventions.
• Significant experience training physicians, allied health professionals, and field-based clinical staff.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing educational programs at a regional or national level.
• Strong understanding of procedural workflows, imaging modalities, and cardiovascular anatomy relevant to LAA closure procedures.
• Ability to influence and collaborate within a highly matrixed organization.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 60%).
• An advanced clinical degree (RN, NP, PA, RCIS, CVT, Perfusion, or equivalent clinical background) is preferred.
• Prior experience in Structural Heart, LAAO, or Stroke Prevention therapies is preferred.
• Experience in leading national training or commercial development initiatives is preferred.
• Background in professional education, field training, or sales training is preferred.
• Previous people leadership or mentorship experience is preferred.
• An MBA, Master's degree, or advanced healthcare degree is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using business intelligence platforms and performance metrics is preferred.
