This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Lead, develop, mentor, and retain a team of National Account Managers.
• Set performance goals, priorities, and development plans for team members.
• Conduct business reviews, performance evaluations, and field coaching sessions.
• Provide executive-level oversight for strategic national and multi-location customer accounts.
• Formulate long-term strategies for account growth and foster senior-level customer relationships.
• Identify opportunities to enhance loyalty, expand partnerships, and boost market share.
• Assist in contract negotiations, renewals, and the implementation of national account agreements.
• Address complex customer issues and pursue strategic opportunities.
• Drive objectives related to sales, profitability, conversion, retention, and growth.
• Monitor KPIs, account performance metrics, and customer satisfaction levels.
• Lead action planning and allocate resources effectively.
• Collaborate with distributors, customers, and internal stakeholders to execute agreements.
• Support paint conversions and project implementations through cross-functional coordination.
• Work closely with sales, technical services, training, marketing, and operations teams.
• Ensure accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and effective account planning.
• Promote the utilization of Salesforce, Power BI, Office 365, and other business systems.
• Monitor compliance with agreements, service expectations, and operational standards.
• Lead customer business reviews and strategic planning meetings.
• Identify and implement best practices across the national account team.
• Report to the Director of Strategic Accounts and manage two direct reports.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• At least 10 years of experience in the automotive refinish, collision repair, automotive aftermarket, or related industry.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience managing sales, account management, or customer-facing teams.
• Proven success in managing strategic national or multi-location customer accounts.
• Experience in leading cross-functional projects and complex customer initiatives.
• A solid track record of building high-performing teams and achieving business results.
• In-depth understanding of collision repair operations, automotive refinish products, and distribution channels.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development skills.
• Strategic thinking, business acumen, and commercial decision-making abilities.
• Excellent relationship-building and executive communication skills.
• Ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office 365, and business reporting tools.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50-70% of the time.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Must be able to travel throughout the United States and Canada.
