National Account Manager – Group Purchasing Organizations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and expand a substantial portfolio of group purchasing organizations.

• Create and execute value-added strategies that align with the national accounts vision and foster profitable long-term growth for Georgia-Pacific.

• Direct contract negotiations with national group purchasing organizations and/or cooperatives.

• Manage both internal and external communications while developing strategies for contract negotiations.

• Enhance GPO relationships through effective customer engagement and collaborative projects and sales initiatives.

• Spearhead Joint Business Planning, Campaign Management, Implementation, Standardization, and Optimization efforts.

• Collaborate with key distributor partners to implement GPO programs that promote profitable growth for Georgia-Pacific and its distribution channels.

• Track agreements for potential opportunities and risks.

• Comprehend contract terminology to manage customer relationships and expectations effectively.

• Utilize strategic partnerships to pinpoint and pursue joint business development opportunities.

• Report directly to the Director of National Accounts.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• A minimum of 3 years of outside sales, merchant, buyer, or related experience.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

• Valid US Driver's License.

• Willingness and capability to travel up to 30% of the time.

• Preferred experience in selling to or working at a national GPO or cooperative.

• Business-to-business sales experience with large national accounts is preferred.

• Desired background in contract negotiation, financial acumen, and P&L management.

• Familiarity with Salesforce.com or another CRM is preferred.

• Must pass a drug screening where applicable.

• Must meet E-Verify employment verification requirements.
