National Account Manager, 3PL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee key national 3PL accounts while meeting sales and gross margin objectives.

• Discover new business prospects and assist in achieving acquisition and revenue goals.

• Engage in daily cold-calling, customer prospecting, and follow-ups via phone, email, and messaging platforms.

• Create reports on business transactions, rate inquiries, and sales opportunities.

• Deliver well-researched presentations highlighting features and benefits.

• Travel up to 12 days per month across designated territories in Canada and the Western United States.

• Manage high-volume, high-revenue accounts to sustain and grow business relationships.

• Negotiate significant contracts and prepare tender packages that include rate proposals, company details, equipment, and financial information.

• Monitor changes among customers and competitors.

• Suggest packaging enhancements and innovative solutions to decrease costs, save time, boost revenue, and enhance efficiency.

• Oversee approximately $10–15 million in annual gross revenue across roughly 100–150 accounts.

• Address customer concerns, complaints, and requests promptly.

• Collect customer data regarding density, packaging, volumes, and other relevant aspects.

• Report directly to the Director of Business Development.

• Supervise direct reports as outlined in the job status section.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or a related industry.

• 3PL experience is highly preferred.

• Self-driven and focused on results.

• Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, communication (both written and verbal), analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• High levels of cognitive and emotional intelligence.

• Strong negotiation capabilities.

• Familiarity with CCFS markets, contracts, pricing publications, and competitors.

• Understanding of CCFS infrastructure and operational characteristics.

• Knowledge of CCFS information and reporting systems.

• Awareness of interline partner systems, capabilities, and procedures.

• Insight into transportation industry dynamics, including CCFS pricing mechanisms and costing systems.

• Candidates must reside in MN, IL, NC, GA, OH, PA, TN, or IN.
