Music Production Expert – Japanese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct head-to-head comparisons of AI-generated songs based on their musicality, creativity, adherence to prompts, vocal quality, and production/mix quality.

• Categorize songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical attributes.

• Assess AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference materials to ensure quality and accuracy.

• Collaborate with a prominent AI lab to evaluate generative music AI models.

• Engage in projects aimed at training and improving AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese.

• Capability to follow detailed written instructions in English.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer.

• Access to headphones or studio monitors that are suitable for critical listening.

• Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition is a plus.

• Experience with credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work is advantageous.

• A broad understanding of contemporary Japanese genres, sub-genres, and artists is preferred.

• Ability to successfully complete the Bilingual Competency Interview in Japanese.

• Must have independent contractor status.

• Cannot accommodate H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time.
