This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Review and refine transcripts for precision, formatting, and adherence to client specifications under tight deadlines.

• Timecode and align transcripts with video projects, encompassing meetings, hearings, conferences, and feature films.

• Capture high-quality audio and/or video during meetings, hearings, and conferences utilizing professional recording equipment.

• Offer transcription services, post-production captioning, and live event audio/visual recording assistance, including webcasts.

• Engage with clients, team members, and division/executive leadership.

• Oversee individual and group projects.

• Operate autonomously within a collaborative team environment.

• Acquire new technologies and software independently.

• Travel to client locations and provide collaborative assistance to other divisions.

• Develop efficiencies that benefit clients, the team, and operational processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to secure and uphold a public trust clearance, including passing a criminal background and credit examination.

• Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, multimedia editing, video, audio, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience in place of a degree.

• A minimum of 1 year of professional experience and/or at least 4 years of comparable academic work experience.

• Proficient in editing and proofreading transcripts.

• Familiarity with industry-standard software, including Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.

• Competence in managing competing deadlines.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accountability.

• Availability for a base schedule between 9am–5pm Eastern Time Zone, with flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.

• Willingness to travel locally and occasionally nationally to client sites.
