Multi-State Associate Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Manage cases independently from intake to resolution.

• Formulate and implement legal strategies based on thorough factual investigation and legal analysis.

• Maintain meaningful communications with courts, administrative agencies, clients, financial institutions, and opposing counsel.

• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments.

• Attend hearings and trials as required.

• Work collaboratively with paralegals and centralized operations staff.

• Travel as necessary for hearings, proceedings, firm trainings, meetings, and firm-sponsored events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

• At least 3 years of substantive legal experience.

• Actively licensed in two or more of the following states: IN, NC, SC, TN, or VA; other active licensure may be considered.

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a remote team.

• High degree of organization, time management, and personal accountability.

• Persistent, resourceful, and proactive in problem-solving.

• Confidence to take ownership of outcomes from beginning to end.

• Willingness to travel for in-person hearings, firm trainings, meetings, and other firm-sponsored events.

• Proficiency in Mac/Apple operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, timekeeping and case management software, and legal research applications.

• Submission of a cover letter, resume, and at least three professional references is required.
