MRO Buyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct indirect purchasing functions for FUJIFILM group companies throughout North America.

• Conduct research, assessment, negotiation, and analysis of the procurement of goods and services.

• Issue and manage purchase orders, including blanket orders for indirect non-stock materials.

• Implement purchasing procedures from requisition to purchase order issuance, goods receipt, and vendor payment.

• Negotiate purchasing terms and conditions under supervision.

• Ensure the accuracy of procurement records, documentation, data entry, and archiving.

• Review necessary purchase order documentation such as SS Forms, legal contract approvals, and ISN contractor verification.

• Coordinate goods receipt schedules and address price, quantity, and item discrepancies with suppliers.

• Prioritize orders and uphold service-level objectives.

• Facilitate the addition of vendors and the establishment of FUJIFILM accounts.

• Act as the primary point of contact for routine supplier inquiries and communications.

• Assist in audits and ensure procurement compliance.

• Participate in safety, health, and training initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing procurement guidance to requisitioners and end users.

• Prepare reports, charts, memorandums, procurement analytics, and management reports.

• Assist Strategic Sourcing Buyers with cost-saving and value-enhancing initiatives.

• Guide requisitioners on procurement best practices and adherence to policies.

• Adhere to ethics, regulatory standards, and sustainability or green procurement initiatives.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience within the manufacturing sector.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite, SAP, Ariba, and procurement transactions.

• Experience with purchasing tools, commodities, and materials.

• Strong knowledge of procurement, value, and cost analysis.

• Ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.

• Demonstrated capability to navigate and utilize the Ariba B&I Module.

• Excellent multitasking abilities and skill in prioritizing objectives.

• Capable of identifying and rectifying process inefficiencies.

• General understanding of commercial processes, cost structures, and financial controlling methods.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Experience with cost improvement projects and industry best practices.

• Familiarity with the 5S and Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies.

• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles or experience with continuous improvement.

• Ability to make sound and timely decisions.

• Ability to work independently without direct supervision in a safe and effective manner.

• Capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Must be available to work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
