MRI Protocoling Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Examine MRI orders to ensure they are complete, clinically appropriate, and in accordance with established imaging guidelines.

• Work alongside radiologists to address intricate protocoling inquiries and establish imaging strategies.

• Relay protocol recommendations to ordering providers, schedulers, MRI technologists, and radiologists.

• Contribute to protocol optimization efforts aimed at enhancing image quality, operational efficiency, and patient outcomes.

• Act as an enterprise clinical resource for MRI protocol assignment, imaging appropriateness evaluation, and MRI safety screening.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology or ARMRIT Pathway.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in advanced modality protocoling, safety screening, and assessing implant/device compatibility is required.

• ARRT (R) certification or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) certification is required upon hire.

• ARRT Magnetic Resonance (MRI) certification must be obtained within 12 months.

• An Associate's degree in a healthcare field is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field is also preferred.

• Candidates must reside in an approved remote work state for UW Health.
