
Mortgage Loan Purchase Specialist – Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Acquire and purchase loans from external lenders.
• Assess loans for adherence to bank, regulatory, and investor standards as well as customer service criteria.
• Evaluate loan eligibility.
• Engage with lenders, team members, title companies, and others to address pending issues.
• Collect necessary documentation while ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Submit loan packages to the Secondary/Pooling Unit for resale in the secondary market.
• Organize and submit government loan documentation to HUD/VA for insurance or guaranty.
• Create required disclosure information within specified timelines while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Generally, three to five years of relevant experience is expected.
• Comprehensive understanding of loan processing, closing, and funding policies and procedures.
• Ability to identify and address exceptions and interpret data effectively.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines concurrently.
• Strong data entry and mathematical abilities.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent in navigating various software packages, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Candidates must adhere to U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, along with related workplace conduct and safety guidelines.
