This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Originate mortgage loans within a designated Non-Bank territory.
• Process applications.
• Perform initial underwriting assessments.
• Submit loan applications for processing and underwriting approval.
• Ensure timely collection of documents necessary for processing, underwriting, and closing.
• Engage in loan sales and related activities outside of U.S. Bank locations.
• Allocate at least 50% of work hours to activities conducted away from U.S. Bank premises.
• Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing Service (NMLS) in accordance with the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.
• Continuous adherence to all legal and regulatory registration standards.
• Maintenance of a satisfactory criminal and credit history.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of two years of experience in Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate.
• Self-motivated individual with exceptional sales skills and the ability to work autonomously.
• Preferred: Established referral network within the designated market.
• In-depth understanding of pricing and underwriting criteria from various mortgage insurance providers.
• Familiarity with underwriting standards for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, regional bonding programs, and private investors.
• Knowledge of local, state, and national regulations.
• Strong communication skills with an aptitude for analyzing financial data.
• Sales-driven mindset.
• Proven track record of at least 2 years in mortgage loan origination, consistently achieving or surpassing production targets.
• Applicants must adhere to U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, as well as related workplace conduct and safety policies.
