Mortgage Loan Originator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Initiate mortgage loans within a designated Non-Bank region.

• Accept applications and perform initial underwriting assessments.

• Forward loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.

• Follow up to guarantee that necessary documents for processing, underwriting, and closing are obtained promptly.

• Actively pursue loan sales and engage in sales-related activities outside of U.S. Bank locations.

• Allocate at least 50% of work hours to activities conducted away from U.S. Bank locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

• A minimum of three years of experience in mortgage, sales, or real estate.

• Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing Service (NMLS) in accordance with the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.

• Continuous adherence to all legal and regulatory registration obligations.

• Maintain an acceptable criminal and credit history.

• Capability to fulfill relevant requirements for performing duties outside the standard workplace.

• Ability to comply with U.S. Bank's policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct as well as workplace conduct and safety regulations.
