Mortgage Loan Originator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Generate residential mortgage loans in compliance with company policies and lending regulations.

• Conduct interviews with borrowers to collect financial information and evaluate their eligibility.

• Review financial documents from applicants to identify suitable loan programs.

• Provide clients with information about loan products, terms, and procedures.

• Submit comprehensive loan applications for processing, approval, and underwriting.

• Keep precise records in the loan origination system.

• Follow up with clients, processors, and underwriters to ensure progress.

• Work collaboratively with internal departments to facilitate smooth loan closings.

• Achieve set productivity and quality benchmarks.

• Stay informed about lending policies, compliance standards, and industry developments.

• Aid in loan production efforts within the branch.

• May receive overrides on qualified loans originated by other Mortgage Loan Originators.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Must possess a valid NMLS license as mandated by state and federal laws.

• Prior experience in mortgage lending or financial services is preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.

• Familiarity with loan origination systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Must satisfy the Outside Sales Exemption criteria under the FLSA and relevant state regulations.

• A significant portion of work time should be dedicated to sales activities away from the employer's premises.
