This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Originate and oversee the processing of purchase mortgage loans from the application stage to closing.
• Ensure adherence to all lending regulations and standards.
• Transform company-generated purchase opportunities into funded loans through proactive follow-ups and consultations with borrowers.
• Foster relationships with clients, Zillow Preferred Agents, and local partners when relevant.
• Maintain an active loan pipeline while achieving service levels, productivity goals, and funding targets.
• Utilize Zillow’s CRM, loan origination systems, and data-driven tools to ensure pipeline health and enhance customer engagement.
• Collaborate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to facilitate efficient loan movement.
• Provide customer support via phone, email, and text messaging.
• Remain informed about market trends, lending programs, and regulatory changes.
• Keep active licensing, fulfill educational requirements, and engage in professional growth opportunities.
• Collect, store, and utilize voiceprints for operational and compliance purposes.
• 3+ years of experience in mortgage origination with a strong focus on purchase transactions.
• Active NMLS Loan Originator status with appropriate state licenses or Loan Originator status under a federal banking license.
• Completion of the 20-hour CORE Pre-Licensing Education course.
• Successful completion of the SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test – National Component with Uniform State Content.
• Must be physically located in and working remotely from Michigan.
• Proven track record of successfully originating purchase loans in a high-volume, phone-based sales setting or through an agent-centric referral model.
• Strong client service orientation combined with consultative sales abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of the mortgage process.
• Comfortable operating within defined KPIs in a structured, performance-oriented environment.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills and the ability to establish trust swiftly.
• Strong skills in time management, organization, and pipeline oversight.
• Proficiency in CRM, LOS, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
