This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and manage the activities within the Claims Department.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, investor guidelines, and relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
• Enhance employee performance through goal setting, training, and coaching initiatives.
• Monitor findings from internal and external audits.
• Guarantee claims are submitted in accordance with requirements from investors, agencies, and insurers.
• Take part in the development and implementation of procedures aimed at improving efficiency.
• Adjust procedures in response to necessary changes.
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly updates on loan statuses for client communications.
• Review and authorize department quality review responses to both internal and external audits.
• Manage variations in daily, weekly, and monthly workloads.
• Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Facilitate and support training for both new and existing employees.
• Review exception reports to ensure system data integrity and present trends to management.
• Address escalations from team members within the supervisor’s scope of authority.
• Perform additional assigned responsibilities.
• Collaborate with clients, industry partners, and internal teams to optimize outcomes for homeowners.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in default mortgage servicing, mortgage insurance claims, or the legal field.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of accepted business practices within the mortgage industry.
• Familiarity with claims processing for HUD, FHLMC, FNMA, and VA.
• In-depth knowledge of the foreclosure process and relevant guidelines.
• Strong leadership and management capabilities.
• Experience with LPS-MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform).
• Ability to inspire and train staff members.
• Proficient in time and priority management.
• Capable of making sound decisions and resolving issues effectively.
• Able to work independently while meeting deadlines efficiently.
• Effective written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Capability to work productively during standard business hours.
• Willingness to work early, late, or during weekends as necessary.
• Overtime may be required as needed.
