Modern Workspace Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with colleagues and end users to uphold workstation operating system standards and manage desktop images.

• Lead the development and maintenance of workstation operating system standards and images.

• Collect business application requirements and orchestrate software deployments via MECM and Intune.

• Package, test, deploy, and provide support for enterprise applications using MECM and Intune.

• Assist in the packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management of enterprise business applications, including SAP and engineering tools.

• Aid in workstation imaging, deployment processes, and the upkeep of images.

• Support patching initiatives to ensure compliance with baseline standards.

• Assist in mitigating workstation vulnerabilities.

• Troubleshoot user incidents and address service requests.

• Offer basic project coordination, including task tracking, planning assistance, and status updates.

• Develop and maintain documentation related to operating system changes, application deployments, and support procedures.

• Provide Tier 3 support for escalated issues concerning workstations, application deployment, and endpoint management.

• Participate in queue management and resolution of tickets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or systems engineering.

• Microsoft certifications are advantageous.

• Required 4-6 years of relevant job experience.

• Experience with PowerShell scripting; Python scripting is an added benefit.

• Familiarity with MECM and Intune administration is essential.

• Basic understanding of SQL commands.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Skilled in creating PowerBI reports from various data sources.

• Field technician experience is preferred.

• Strong orientation towards customer service.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Openness to learning new tools, technologies, and processes as necessary.

• Experience in application packaging and software deployment.

• Familiarity with Windows imaging and deployment processes.

• Proven experience troubleshooting application deployment challenges.
